It is a free portable secure file eraser that let you delete your sensitive data with confidence on the go. Do you know that when you delete a file and then empty the Recycle Bin, the content is still residing physically on the hard disk. What Windows Explorer did was only removing the special link from the file allocation table to its content on the disk. Someone doing mischief can easily recover your "deleted" file using any recovery software without effort. And your data will be compromised.
To ensure that your deleted file is not to be recover in any possible way, below is what this software will do for you. It will overwrite the content with random data; then wait for the file system device driver to commit the changes to the physical media; repeat the procedure again for a few more times. Repeat is necessary as you will never know what is still kept at the file and memory caching system. And to ensure that the data on the magnetic disk has been stable and not in some unstable state.
To erase a file securely, you drag-and-drop your specific file to the software. As this is a dangerous and unrecoverable operation, it will prompt you if you want to continue to destroy this file. Click continue to have this file be gone for forever.
